Statements, asked twice

You take a position on sharp political and ideological statements using a six-point agreement scale. Key positions appear twice with opposite framing, once sympathetic and once critical. How much your answer shifts between the two framings becomes your framing bias score.

Alignment, not loyalty

The result shows how closely your answers match each position across all issues, not just the ones you feel strongly about. You might find you align with a party or ideology you didn't expect, or that you're genuinely split between two.

Politics in Mongolia: the context of this test

Mongolia is a parliamentary republic with a directly elected president. The 126-member State Great Khural is elected by a mixed system. The last parliamentary election was held in June 2024.

The party system

The Mongolian People's Party (MPP) won a majority in 2024 and formed a broad coalition with the Democratic Party and HUN. Protests over corruption brought down Prime Minister Oyun-Erdene in June 2025, and a long power struggle inside the MPP followed. In April 2026 Nyam-Osoryn Uchral formed a government of the MPP, HUN and the National Coalition, with the Democratic Party in opposition.

The divides that split voters

Corruption, the management of mining wealth, state-owned companies, the sovereign wealth fund, foreign investment and the cost of living dominate the debate.

How it looks on the compass

The MPP is a centre-left party that grew out of the former communist ruling party. The Democratic Party is centre-right, and HUN is a newer centrist reform party. Many differences are about leadership and governance rather than ideology.
